How KripsaVerse collects, uses, and protects your information.

Who We Are

KripsaVerse is operated by Kripsa Mehta, author of the Aashi and the Robot series and founder of the My 1st Book coaching program. Our website is located at https://kripsa.com.

What Information We Collect

1. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. This collects anonymised data including pages visited, time spent, device type, and general location (city level). Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to identify returning visitors.

Google Analytics does not collect your name or email address. To opt out, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

2. Email Address (Newsletter Signup)

When you sign up for our newsletter or unlock the free activity pack, we collect your email address. This is stored in Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), our email marketing platform. We use your email to send updates about new books, blog posts, and resources.

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send. We do not sell or share your email address with third parties.

3. Contact Form Submissions

When you use our contact form or author visit request form, your name, email, and message are sent to us via Formspree. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry. Formspree's privacy policy is available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

4. Summer Reading Tracker

When a child submits a reading entry via the Summer Reading Tracker, the name and book count are stored in a Google Form connected to a private Google Sheet. This data is used only to display the leaderboard on our Resources page. We do not share this data with third parties.

5. Browser Storage (localStorage)

We store a small flag in your browser's localStorage (kripsaverse_pack_unlocked) to remember that you have already unlocked the free activity pack. This contains no personal information and is never sent to any server.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

KripsaVerse content is intended for children aged 7–14, used with parental guidance. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent.

The Summer Reading Tracker collects only a first name (or nickname) entered voluntarily by a parent or child. No contact details, location, or identifying information beyond a name is requested.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at kripsaverse@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

Cookies

We use the following cookies:

  • Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) — track anonymised usage data. Expire after 2 years.
  • No other tracking or advertising cookies are set by KripsaVerse.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not affect your ability to use the site.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal data
  • Withdraw consent for email marketing at any time (via the unsubscribe link)

Data Retention

Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Contact form submissions are retained in our inbox for up to 12 months. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months (the minimum setting).

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. We encourage you to review it periodically.
